Fourth of July in Denver has become one of the most anticipated weekends of the summer, and understandably so! With so many locations, fireworks shows, sports games, and events, it’s practically impossible not to get involved with at least one of them. This is something to get the whole family involved in- and don’t forget the reason for the date! This is the ultimate celebration for America’s Independence! Here are some of the biggest events going on.
Independence Eve Fireworks – July 3rd, 2016, 8 pm
This is Denver’s ultimate Fourth of July celebration, held right at Civic Center Park on Broadway and Colfax. It will feature a free patriotic concert, a light show on the Denver City and County Building, and a spectacular fireworks finale. Make sure to get there early as lawn seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The Elitch Gardens fireworks display is definitely at the top of our list, especially if you’re at the top of the Ferris Wheel or the Observation Tower! What’s better than combining thrilling rides with a majestic lit up sky?
The Rapids Play at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park July 4th, 2016
Denver’s hometown soccer heroes are playing the Portland Timbers, with an amazing fireworks display after the game! You don’t need tickets to the game to go watch the fireworks, just bring some blankets and chairs, and hang out on the grass where there’s also many attractions to enjoy!
Glendale Fireworks Show July 1st, 2016
If you’re into celebrating a little early, this is definitely the show to go to. Glendale Fireworks Show is one of the largest and oldest fireworks exhibition traditions in Denver. The prime viewing spots are at 600 and 650 Cherry Street, along Exposition Drive, north of Virginia Avenue, south of Cherry Creek Drive and west of Colorado Blvd. Don’t miss this mind blowing display!
